Welcome

Thursday June 26th will mark the start of the 'Wooden Spoon 4 Peaks Challenge' it is expected that over 50 teams will climb four of the highest mountains in England, Ireland, Scotland and Wales. The challenge will consist of around 14,000 feet of accent and a 1,000 mile drive and ferry crossing between the peaks within 48 hours. Our aim is to be one of these teams!

The pennies and pounds we raise will go to supporting mainly capital projects. Wooden Spoon currently has 65 projects, with funding in excess of £3.2m, active across the UK and Ireland.

Over the last few years, Wooden Spoon challengers have played a massive role in raising over £4.5m.In the last six years they have given over £7m to a variety of charitable causes. As a result, 500,000 mentally, physically and socially disadvantaged children, young people and their families have benefited.

Since it started out in 1983, Wooden Spoon has supported more than 250 projects across England, Ireland, Scotland and wales, donating more than £13.5 million and reaching in excess of 500,000 children. Projects range from teenage cancer care units, hydrotherapy pools, sensory gardens to essential equipment. Projects are chosen and supported by Wooden Spoon's 40-plus regional committees, these are staffed entirely by volunteers.
